Tuyet Brown is a licensed independent clinician with a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from the Simmons College Graduate School (Boston, Massachusetts, USA).

She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (U.S.) Prior to moving to Hanoi, Vietnam, Tuyet Brown worked in Santa Monica, California, USA.

She specialized in working with battle-related post traumatic stress disorder patient population at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, as well as victims of rape (forensic rape, date rape) and incest with PTSD symptoms.

In her Hanoi practice, Ms Brown worked in particular with individuals and families who are experiencing cross-cultural adjustment issues, depression, substance dependency & abuse, and schizophrenia. She designed and taught counseling & living skills to providers working with HIV/AIDS, the sexually abused and sex workers.

She is fluent in English, Vietnamese, and is familiar with Japanese & French.
